Wednesday March 8th, 2017 - Bowood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort
Women in business from across Swindon and Wiltshire are being invited to celebrate International Women's Day, Wednesday 8th March, at the annual Women in Business Conference at Bowood Spa and Golf Resort - a day to get inspired, informed & connected. This year's event offers an exceptional mix of guest speakers, workshops, exhibition and networking areas - as well as the chance to sign up to Swindon & Wiltshire's new SME Growth project, with 12 hours free specialist business advice & grants of up to £10,000.
Rebecca Jones, founder of Red Shoe Biz Academy, published author and entrepreneurial expert, will be the first keynote speaker of the day. An inspirational female entrepreneur, Rebecca has focussed on routes to success for women in business since she launched her first business at the age of 19.
Continuing the theme of learning for business, the workshop programme includes topics as diverse strategy and PR, social media and Agile planning, mind-set and body language, better communications ...and even a quick-start guide to exporting. All sessions will be led by experts from the field, providing the chance for real discussion and learning.
This year's conference also introduces the WiB Brainstorm Booth - a chance for participants to bring their own questions, ideas and blocks for discussion: crowd-sourced solutions and inspiration.
Hosted by The Enterprise Network (TEN), a Wiltshire Council initiative to support businesses across Swindon and Wiltshire, the conference will showcase entrepreneurial talent from across the region and
provide a forum for learning, sharing and connecting.
The final keynote speaker is a Wiltshire success story - Kerry Gover, founder and director of Pink Box Boutique, will talk about her journey and key barriers she had to overcome. Kerry will share the tips and
insights that have enabled her to turn her home business into a nationwide brand.
Now in its third year, the event attracts some 150 motivated and aspiring business owners, entrepreneurs and managers from around the region, as well as many local and
national business support organisations and professionals.
