Building A also offers fully fitted laboratory space catering for start ups as well as for established R&D and manufacturing.

Porton Science Park (PSP) is located ten miles from Salisbury and is part of the Porton Down Science Campus, home to the Dstl (the Ministry of Defence’s Defence and Science Technology Laboratory) and Public Health England (PHE) Porton.

PSP’s first phase opened in early 2018, offering 4,048 m2 of  space. As with all TEN centres, on-site business support is available to ensure that companies receive assistance and meet the right contacts to help them grow.

The facility and associated support programme has been designed from the ground up to incubate science and technology enterprises. Support includes:

• dedicated business and venture management support, mentoring and advice

• dissemination of knowledge and experience, with access to industry specialists

• sector specific innovation support

• networking and training opportunities

• access to funding

About Porton Science Park

The vision for Porton Science Park was summarised by Leader of Wiltshire Council, Baroness Scott of Bybrook OBE: “This science park will provide a platform for science and technology innovation and new business start- ups. Creating modern space here in our county for science and defence technologies places Wiltshire firmly on the map and strengthens our status as a great place to do business. This means more high skilled local jobs and is more good news for Wiltshire’s economy.”

In keeping with a state-of-the-art project, the building has been designed to attain the highest possible energy efficiency and sustainability ratings.

Health & Life Sciences and Defence & Security Technologies

Porton Science Park (PSP) is an attractive new centre offering brand new lab and office facilities for a range of companies in the Health and Life Sciences and the Defence and Security sectors. The centre benefits from its close proximity to the Defence Science Technology Laboratory (Dstl), with its expertise in defence science, engineering and cybertech and Public Health England Porton (PHE) where sector companies can draw on world-class expertise in infectious disease control, vaccinology and vaccine production facilities based in and around Porton.
